In 2025, generative AI stopped being something teams experimented with and became something they expected to rely on. In fact, according to our 2025 State of AI Report, professionals cited 7+ hours/week of productivity gains from AI use. But as AI capabilities accelerated across the market, it became clear that speed alone wasn’t enough. For research and decision-making teams, the real challenge wasn’t generating more answers — it was producing insights that were trusted, explainable, and ready to use in high-stakes workflows.
That reality shaped how we thought about product development this year. Rather than chasing point solutions or novelty features, we focused on building applied AI: tools grounded in premium data, designed around real workflows, and optimized for outcomes. Across every release, our goal was the same: Help teams move from question to insight to deliverable faster, while maintaining the rigor, transparency, and depth that enterprise decisions demand.
Key Releases of 2025
Generative Grid
Extract KPIs, analyze documents, and spot signals at scale
Generative Grid allows users to pose multiple natural-language questions across vast document sets at once, returning results in a structured table format, perfect for comparing, summarizing, and surfacing insights across many documents quickly.
Whether tapping into our 500 million+ document universe — including filings, analyst reports, trade journals, news, expert calls — or your own proprietary internal content, like VDRs, CIMs, or memos, you can automate repetitive research tasks, compare companies side-by-side, and share your analysis.
This makes large-scale research, such as sector landscapes, competitive overviews, and trend spotting, far more efficient and collaborative.
AlphaSense users are leveraging Generative Grid to:
- Compare peer or portfolio earnings calls across key themes in minutes
- Build “landscape tables” for markets, product lines, or regulatory topics
- Surface patterns, gaps, and anomalies across deal documents
- Generate exportable, ready-for-analysis tables for stakeholder briefings
Tip: When adding columns to your grid, use “Generate Prompt” to auto-generate a robust prompt based on your column header.
Deep Research
Conduct comprehensive, investment-grade research in minutes
Deep Research accelerates the most time-intensive analytical workflows, from full market landscapes to diligence-ready company profiles, by automating the reading, synthesizing, and drafting steps that typically take hours or days. It acts like a team of analysts working in parallel, pulling from the deepest, highest-signal areas of AlphaSense’s content universe.
This gives teams an “always-on” analytical engine that supercharges strategic workstreams across investment, diligence, and corporate strategy.
AlphaSense users have cited weeks of time-savings from just a single Deep Research report, leveraging the tool to:
- Build full market landscapes for strategy reviews or investment theses
- Generate diligence-grade company primers with risks, drivers, benchmarks, and financial context
- Produce thematic insight briefs for leadership, deal teams, or offsites
- Accelerate early-stage research before deeper modeling, outreach, or expert work
Tip: Deep Research is also available on our mobile app, so you can get custom reports and morning briefings on your phone, and stay informed on your commute, at a coffee shop, or anywhere in between.
Workflow Agents
Automate deliverables and scale repeatable research
Workflow Agents reduce hours of manual synthesis and formatting by automating multi-step research deliverables — from company profiles to competitive landscapes to slide-ready strategy summaries. Agents gather information, evaluate sources, extract signals, and package findings into consistent, exportable output.
By combining structured financial data, qualitative content, expert transcripts, and generative reasoning, Workflow Agents allow analysts, bankers, strategists, and CI teams to focus on interpretation rather than assembly.
The result: faster research cycles, higher-quality outputs, and standardized workflows across teams.
AlphaSense users are leveraging Workflow Agents to:
- Generate pitchbook-ready slides for M&A, fundraising, or strategic reviews
- Produce sector, competitor, or product-line summaries in consistent formats
- Prepare pre-meeting briefs that cover essential company information plus suggested questions to ask management
- Automate recurring workflows such as weekly comps, watchlist updates, or executive briefings
Tip: New workflow agents are added to our library all the time (recent additions include Bull & Bear Debates, IPO Primer, and ESG Primer). Stay abreast of our monthly additions by checking out our release notes.
Financial Data
Blend qualitative insight with quantitative rigor
Financial Data (now available on our Company Profile pages) brings structured financials, KPIs, valuation metrics, and historical performance into the same environment as qualitative content, enabling more precise and defensible analysis. Rather than toggling between terminals, spreadsheets, filings, and expert transcripts, users now get all of a company’s essential quantitative data and qualitative context in one place — enabling faster, clearer decision-making across deals, diligence, comps analysis, and monitoring.
As soon as you type a company name or ticker, Financial Data surfaces: historical financial statements, key ratios, valuation multiples, peer comps, funding and M&A history, private-company funding, workforce data, and right next to relevant expert calls, filings, broker reports, and market news.
This unified view provided by our Company Profile page lets teams compare across public and private companies, benchmark KPIs, track growth or funding trends, and combine hard data with qualitative signals — all without context-switching between platforms.
AlphaSense users are leveraging our suite of Financial Data to:
- Screen and compare public and private companies (e.g. for deal sourcing, market mapping, comps analysis) using standardized financials and private funding / M&A data side-by-side
- Benchmark peers and sectors using comps tables, curated Industry Comps, and KPI analysis
- Combine quantitative trends (revenue growth, margins, cash flow) with qualitative context (expert calls, filings, news) for stronger, more defensible investment or strategy memos
- Build models with refreshable Excel data and prebuilt Canalyst models
- Prepare pitch-books, investment memos, and comparable-company analyses with clean, auditable data and integrated narrative
Financial Data is now live for some customers, with access expanding to the full user base in early 2026 as we complete the final phase of the rollout.
Tip: Use the AlphaSense Formulas Excel Add-In to eliminate manual data entry by pulling live financials and KPIs directly into your existing spreadsheets. Save hours each week and ensure accuracy so you can focus more time on analysis, not data collection.
Channel Checks
Capture real-time market signals through a living research system

Channel Checks provide ground-level visibility into market dynamics, including demand patterns, pricing movements, supply-chain shifts, and competitive sentiment, by converting expert conversations into structured, repeatable intelligence streams. This gives teams an early read on inflection points long before they show up in filings, earnings, or consensus.
At the heart of our Channel Checks is the AI Interviewer: a live, unbiased system trained on extensive sector knowledge and optimized to extract clarity from complex markets. Each interview follows a standardized yet adaptive framework that combines consistent question flow with dynamic probing, ensuring every conversation reveals the “why” behind shifts in sentiment, pricing, or performance.
This gives investment teams, strategy leaders, and operators a differentiated advantage: continuous, real-time insights from the people closest to the market.
AlphaSense users are leveraging Channel Checks to:
- Identify demand or pricing inflections ahead of earnings
- Validate or challenge investment theses using ground-truth operator perspectives
- Monitor competitive shifts and market sentiment across key tickers
- Build repeatable “expert signal” feeds for high-volatility sectors
Tip: Use our Channel Check Workflow Agent to build a Channel Check grid for your market or company of interest. Any updated transcripts that are posted to the platform will auto-populate into the grid in real time.
Other Key Updates
- Live Transcripts: We now offer real-time transcript coverage for over 5,000 companies every earnings season, ensuring users have instant access to key financial insights as they happen.
- Workspaces: Curate, organize, and analyze a set of documents in dedicated project spaces. We love this feature for VDR analysis, as it rapidly surfaces insights from complex document sets, empowering teams to confidently produce investment deliverables during diligence.
- Web Search: Opt to enable inclusion of up-to-date information from across the web in AlphaSense search results, to supplement the walled garden of high-quality business and financial documents within AlphaSense.
- Mobile App: With Generative Search (including Deep Research mode) and live event audio available on mobile, you can unlock fast, confident decisions when insight needs to travel with you.
- Expert Transcript Library: Our library includes over 240,000 transcripts with over 8,000+ transcripts being added to the platform on a monthly basis, covering over 27,000 private and public companies.
- DropBox Integration: Sync your Dropbox files with the platform, enabling you to search, analyze, and extract insights from your internal documents using AlphaSense's powerful AI-driven tools.
Together, 2025’s releases have transformed what a “research platform” means. Rather than merely offering search, we deliver complete, context-aware, actionable intelligence — at enterprise scale, with trust and auditability.
But we’re not stopping there. With the foundation laid, we’re already building for 2026.
What’s Next?
In January, we’ll launch the next generation of Generative Search, evolving our conversational search tool into an end-to-end research agent that can find documents, answer complex questions, automate workflows, and create deliverables. For the 75% of our users who are leveraging Generative Search on a monthly basis, that means even better analysis, more use cases supported, and less tedious work on your plate.
Additionally, our acquisition of Carousel will allow us to seamlessly integrate advanced automation and natural language into Excel, handling repetitive modeling tasks so you can focus on what matters most.
We’re building a platform where you don’t just discover insights — you package, present, and act on them, all from one unified workspace.
