Michelle Brophy, Director of TMT Research, AlphaSense
Michelle Brophy serves as the Director of Research, Tech, Media and Telecom at AlphaSense. Prior to joining AlphaSense, Michelle spent 3 years as the Strategist for TMT at Guidepoint Insights. Prior to this, Michelle spent 18 years on the buy side, in both portfolio manager and senior equity analyst roles, at Hilltop Park Capital and Kingdon Capital Management. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and resides in New York City.
Sara Mallatt Stahl, Director of Healthcare Research, AlphaSense
Sara Mallatt Stahl serves as the Director of Healthcare Research at AlphaSense and has more than 18 years of experience generating sell-side research content across a variety of industries. Prior to joining AlphaSense in 2022, Sara held leadership positions at OTR Global, a leading channel research firm, most recently as Director of Healthcare Research. Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in industrial engineering. She works from her home in Missoula, Montana.
Xavier Smith, Director of E&I Research, AlphaSense
Xavier Smith serves as the Director of Research, Energy and Industrials at AlphaSense. Before joining AlphaSense, Xavier worked as an equity portfolio manager at various firms including Goldman Sachs, and Gugenheim. Xavier has equity market experience in London as well as New York. Xavier received an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA from Tulane University.
